The new deal will keep the 35-year-old at the club until June 2011.
“We are very happy with Jorg’s performances and we are pleased that Bayern will be able to call on him for a further season,” Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the club’s official website.
Butt said: “I am very happy at Bayern and I am looking forward to continuing my successful time in Munich.”
