Lennon recently signed a one-year rolling contract with Celtic after impressing as a caretaker manager.
Ledley would be available on a free transfer as his contract with Cardiff City is set to expire this summer.
“He is one that interests us,” explained Lennon.
“We have made inroads (in terms of bringing new players in) and we will get cracking on that as soon as today (Wednesday) is finished.”
