Chelsea and Man City plan January moves for PSG midfielder

Matuidi’s current contract with PSG is set to expire at the end of the season.

Reports suggest that both Chelsea and City are preparing pre-contract offers for the French international for January.

Matuidi could enter into a pre-contract agreement with interested clubs in January.

Reports suggest that PSG have offered Matuidi a new contract that could keep him in Paris until June 2018.

Matuidi insists that he has not agreed on a contract extension with PSG.

Matuidi told L’Equipe 21: “I am really at ease at PSG.

“My first wish would be to stay. But you can wish for something and sometimes it doesn’t happen.

“The club has a special place in my heart, but anything can happen in a career.”
