Chelsea’s Drogba: I was scared for teammate Terry

Drogba said: “I was scared when I saw John lying there like that because I saw something like that a few years ago when Mama died in sad conditions.

“My heart sank and for 10 minutes I couldn’t find my game and my legs were shaky.

“I was very, very afraid when JT went down. He is a hard man and seeing him stretched out like that without moving sent shivers down my spine.

“We feared the worst. He is our leader, our captain, the best one amongst us.

“No other player in the world would have played this match with that ankle. On Thursday he couldn’t even put his foot on the ground.”
