Cole’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has so far not held talks about a new deal with the Blues.
An insider in the Cole camp told the Mirror: “We will get our heads together with the club once Joe is back to full fitness.
“He wants to stay and the club want him to stay, so there should not be a problem.”
Reports have linked Cole with a move to Tottenham.
