Corluka rules out Spurs exit

Corluka is set to return from injury problems, but is expected to struggle to win back his place in the Spurs side from Alan Hutton.

“After playing regularly for a few years, my body started to feel that and I got a series of injuries,” he told Sportske Novosti.

“After the last national team action I returned to England injured and I couldn’t train for two-and-a-half weeks, and that is why I understand that I don’t have a place in the first team.

“I don’t complain. The manager has his own vision and he doesn’t talk about that with us players.

“We just have to train very hard and whoever is not playing has to wait for his chance.

“I’m waiting for my chance and I’m trying to stay in the best shape so I won’t have any problems when the manager does put me in the team.

“Tottenham is a very big club which plays in a lot of serious competitions, so everybody in the team is very important.

“In seasons before this one I was playing regularly and others were sitting on the bench, but now it is my turn. But I don’t have any problems, I’m happy to wait. I’m not thinking about switching clubs.”
