Former Liverpool and Tottenham forward Peter Crouch has made his prediction for the clash between Newcastle and Bournemouth on Saturday.

Newcastle have struggled to follow up their strong performance in the Premier League last season, struggling with multiple injuries.

“Newcastle have had a difficult start to the season, a load of injuries to key players,” Crouch said on That Peter Crouch Podcast, regarded by many as the best football podcasts around.

“It does feel they play a lot better now. Watched them the other night, Bruno Guimaraes on fire. He is a great player. He feels perfect for Newcastle.

“Newcastle still have Nick Pope and Isak out, but Gordon maybe back. I think he has been their best player this year.”

When announcing his betting prediction for the match, Crouch said: “I do not believe Bournemouth will score, I think Newcastle 2-0.”
