Dalglish took over from Roy Hodgson and though he has won the Carling Cup, his record is barely any better than his predecessor.
“A point is a point isn’t it? The return we’ve had is not a true reflection of the way we’ve played at Anfield.
“We’ve been delighted with the way we’ve played but disappointed with some of the results we’ve got because they haven’t always reflected, in any way, shape or form, the performances.
“The points we’ve got is the points we’ve got but I’ll tell you what else doesn’t lie – sixth round of the FA Cup and Carling Cup winners. We’re a better, stronger squad than what we were as well. We’re better off now than what we were last year.”
