Davenport said: “Tottenham are a big club and naturally they are going to be linked with a lot of players. But I won’t let that unsettle me or deter me from convincing the manager that the solution to his problems can be found on his own doorstep.
“Hopefully I have proved myself to the manager in recent weeks by finding a bit of form and I can save him some money in the transfer market.”
