“His departure surprised me, it all happened so quickly,” Del Piero said in an interview to Stadio. “I hope that in Florence he does well in 36 games… excluding the ones against Juve, obviously.
“He has great qualities and he did very well here when he was fit. I’m sad he has gone, both for the player and the person he is, he played with us in Serie B and the bond was strong. But if he left Juve, it means that was what he and the club wanted.”
