Derbyshire admits he is loving to play alongside Santa Cruz.
“I want Roque to stay at Blackburn,” said Derbyshire. “He is a fantastic player who I love playing alongside.
“He has been great for the club, he is a great goalscorer and hopefully he won’t go.
“He is a great bloke to have around the place, he’s always cheerful and always works hard.”
Santa Cruz has been linked with a move to Manchester City.
