The Mali international has been linked with a move away from Madrid following a disappointing last two season where he has made just 33 appearances.
He said: “The decision is with the club but I would like to play more matches than last season.
“At present I do not know what will happen. I am working the pre-season because Real is my club and I have a deal signed until June 2011.
“But in football anything is possible and things can change very quickly.”
