The 28-year-old joined the Toffees in January on a 10-week deal and has impressed in the Premier League.
“When I think of everything at Everton I want to think of the trip as a whole and think that I have been successful,” he told the club’s official website.
“It has been fantastic and I could never have expected when I got here that it would turn out like this.
“The fans want you to play as hard as you can when you are out there.
“That is what I like to give when I am out there and they want to see the team win.”
