Jerzy Dudek, remembered fondly on Merseyside for his penalty heroics in Istanbul, has stated his desire to see Xabi Alonso join him in Madrid.
“I don’t know (what’s happening) let’s hope so,” he told Sky Sports News.
“This club needs good players and Xabi is a good player.”
The midfield playmaker is high on the list of Florentino Perez’s tranfer targets and is seen as providing good balance to the heavily attack minded signings that the Real Madrid President has brought in thus far.
