Van Bommel’s current contract with Bayern is set to expire at the end of the season.
The Bundesliga side has offered Van Bommel a 12-month extension to his contract, but the Dutchman is looking for a longer deal.
Van Bommel told Bild: “I feel at home here, I would really like to stay on. But I do not intend to stay on for just one more year.
“I will take my time over a decision since there is no deadline for me.”
His agent Rob Jansen added: “We are in touch with Bayern and are ready to further negotiations, but we also have enquiries from in and outside the Bundesliga.”
