Dynamo Kiev president Igor Surkis said on the club’s website: “I said in every inter view that there was a possibility Shevchenko wouldn’t play well for Chelsea. I can say even more.
“I’ve asked Shevchenko to ask his board to let him go to Dynamo (Kiev) on loan.
“If we qualify for the Champions League group stage we’ll have only 24 hours to do all the paperwork.”
