Enrique have failed to impress in the Premier League following his move from Villarreal last summer.
“I want to complete my contract,” Enrique told Marca.
“It doesn’t bother me if they want to get rid of me.
“I have still got a few years left and I want to play an important part in getting the team back to where it deserves to be.
“I am very happy here. I like the city. The fans are 10 out of 10.
“A club with a history like Newcastle’s should not be so low in the table.
“It’s killing me that Newcastle are having such a bad season. The fans don’t deserve this and I think we are going to be able to get out of this situation. We are only in November and anything can happen.
“We would all like to get into Europe but it’s not going to happen.”
