The Daily Mirror says the 28-year-old has made it clear he wants to stay at Barcelona by refusing to join City.
The Cameroon international has been linked with a move away from the Camp Nou as his contract is set to expire next summer.
“Samuel is happy at Barcelona and, despite the interest from England, he wants to stay,” an inside source is quoted as saying in the Daily Mirror.
