Evans, the last of the old “Boot Room” managers at Liverpool until Kenny Dalglish’s appointment this year, believes the Scot can lead them to a first league title in more than 20 years.
“You’ve got to have in your mind that, if you went on a bit of a run, you have got a chance.
“We’ve got to keep progressing. We could do it this year, never write Liverpool off.”
