The 22-year-old was given the ‘hairdryer’ treatment by Ferguson after United’s 4-0 Carling Cup loss at West Ham, according to The Sun.
Ferguson is concerned by Evans’ loss of form and could send the defender out on loan in a bid for the youngster to rebuild his confidence.
Evans said: “This is probably the biggest challenge I have had.
“It is the first time I have been taken out of the team because of performances.”
