Arteta scored two goals in the 5-1 win over the Tigers at Goodison Park.
“He (Arteta) was involved in some fantastic stuff out there, he joined in, he got in the box, he played a slightly different role for us today through the middle and he’s improving all the time,” Moyes told Sky Sports.
“He’s not quite there yet, but when he’s right we are a really good team.
“We’ve been playing really well, I’ve been disappointed in some of the main games where we’ve just not turned up.
“I’ve told the players if they want their season to keep going every fixture is going to be questionable. Today they went about the job right, we’ve not really beaten anyone well this season so to get five today was a big bonus.”
