He said: “Andy has been great for us and the sort of player and person that we always wanted.
“There’s a real good chance he can go on to become an England centre-forward and a regular in the coming weeks and months hopefully.
“He’s a valued member of the team and that’s the standard that we want to bring to Everton. We want to try and raise the bar and bring players of that ilk here.”
