Zanetti has successfully undergone knee surgery and is not expected to return to action until mid-February.
“Zanetti underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
“The operation showed irregularities in the external meniscus which were resolved by performing a partial cleaning of the aforementioned.
“The recovery time to resume physical activity is estimated in the region of three weeks.”
