Jol has stated since he took over as Fulham boss earlier this summer that he was looking to bolster his forward line.
“I feel there is more to come from Zamora and Johnson but – we played too many long balls to Bobby. I’d like to add a few things going forward,” he said.
“We saw today if we swap our No 9 I have to put Clint Dempsey there and I don’t want to do that.
“That’s why we will try to do something in the transfer window. Does that mean a striker is my priority? Maybe.
“We are not going to be able to compete financially with some of the other teams but the spirit here is great.”
