Fulham’s Volz: I have no regrets over my time at Arsenal

He told fulhamfc.com: “I’ve been in England for seven and a half years now. I have only ever lived in London and I’m used to the London way. I have learnt a lot about English culture and I’m very happy and delighted to be here. It’s a great place which has given me a lot in terms of experience and I feel very welcome here.

“I only know from what I hear from friends that there are so many differences between English and German football. I think it took me a while to adapt to the English way. There was a lot more fun but I think you need to find a good balance. I think I’m a balance between the two systems.

“I don’t regret that I didn’t make it at Arsenal because it’s one of the best Clubs in the world but I’m realistic enough to judge the situation and to know how difficult it is and I don’t regret the decision I made to join Fulham. At the time it was the right thing to do. You might have to go elsewhere to further your career – it’s up to the individual.”
