Garay joined Real in 2008 but spent last season on loan at Racing Santander.
“I hope to earn a spot in the team. I started off on the right foot as a starter against Deportivo and I hope to continue so that I can win many titles with this team,” he was quoted as saying by the club’s official website.
“I hope I make my Champions League debut. It will be an important milestone for me.”
