News-Roma reports that Genoa are looking to beat AC Milan in the race to sign the 23-year-old.
The French international has long been linked with a move to AC Milan, but the Italian side have been reluctant to do a deal.
Genoa are reportedly also keen on signing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso.
