Gibson is struggling with a groin problem and will miss the trip to Bulgaria.
Robbie Keane missed training on Tuesday but coach Giovanni Trapattoni expects the Tottenham striker to feature against Bulgaria.
“It was just as a precaution, he has some inflammation under his foot, it’s nothing serious and he will be fine for Saturday,” said Trapattoni.
