The 37-year-old has made more appearances for the Red Devils than any other player and has in recent years signed a succession of one-year contracts.
Giggs’ current contract is set to expire in June, but Giggs is keen to keep on going.
“After Christmas I will go to [Sir Alex] Ferguson’s office and we’ll talk about my renewal,” Giggs told calciomercato.com
“I have a wonderful relationship with him. He’s an exceptional person. He is always the first to arrive in the morning and is always willing to listen.
“I have spoken to him for a few minutes about extending my contract for another year.
“I want to play again, I care for nothing more than playing for my team.”
