Gladbach defender keen on Premiership move

The Ivory Coast international has been linked with a £3.4million January move to Newcastle.

“I am back playing very well, that is why clubs all over the world – there are clubs in France and Russia – are after me,” Gohouri told skysports.com.

“However, my next move has to be in the Premiership. There are clubs showing some interest, but to be honest the Premiership is not an obsession.

“I love the Spanish league as well, however, in the Premiership the physical contact is more, so I can enjoy myself more there.”

He added: “I will be back in the national team soon. I was out because of the injury. The coach said the team needs me once I start playing.

“We have to go to the World Cup, it is the biggest thing in the world. We should be there and create history for African football.”
