The Daily Record says the Bundesliga side are in the market for a new goalkeeper and coach Bruno Labbadia sees Boruc as a great signing.
The 30-year-old has been a hit at Celtic since joining the club from Legia Warsaw in the summer of 2005.
Celtic have reportedly set a €4.5million asking price for the goalkeeper.
