The former Coventry and Celtic goalkeeper said: “Any other club than Chelsea I would have said ‘no’.
“Considering the size of the club it wasn’t a hard decision to make – it’s like a fairytale. This is one of the biggest clubs in the world and it’s like a big, big family.”
The Swede added: “When I’m 100% fit I will do everything to put in a good challenge [for the No1 jersey].
“But I am realistic and if I train really well for a couple of months and don’t get a shot, I won’t be in a mood. If I end up with no games I can still go out with my head held high, knowing I did a good job.”
