The Swedish striker did not feature in the game against Valencia on Saturday after picking up a knock on international duty.
“We spoke the doctors and left him out as a precaution. We want to see if we can have him back for Tuesday,” Guardiola was quoted as saying by the club’s official website.
“He felt some pain and we have preferred not to risk him.”
