It is expected that an decision will be made next week on who will replace Ronaldinho and join Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernandez as club captains.
“I know that the question about the captains is there. Xavi and Puyol are two in place, while Víctor Valdés would be a good candidate,” Iniesta said.
“I would clearly like to do it. It is a big responsibility at a club like this. It would be great and a very a important position.
“We have not yet elected anyone, but I am sure that things will be resolved after the international break.”
