Modric’s agent, Sebastiano Durante, claims Mourinho was even interested in signing Modric while he was in charge at Chelsea.
“I hear these things on TV and read them in the newspapers
, but I don’t know if the two clubs have spoken about the player,” Durante told FcInterNews in an interview.
“The two clubs have a good relationship because Tottenham are interested in some Nerazzurri players [Marco Materazzi, Nicolas Burdisso, Sulley Muntari]. These are two teams that have been talking at the management level.”
He added: “[I think he would cost] no less than €25 million. Of course, Mourinho likes him a lot. He even followed him during his time at Chelsea.”
