Mariga was set to join Manchester City on transfer deadline day, but the 22-year-old missed out on a move due to work permit issues.
Mariga has instead signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Italian giants Inter Milan.
A statement from Inter read: “Mariga has signed a contract until 30th June 2014 and will wear the number 17 jersey.”
