Berbatov have scored 21 goals for Spurs this season and is on the PFA’s team of the year.
Jol said: “Dawson is my player of the season but he knows he can still be better.
“He played in all the games — the only one along with Paul Robinson.
“It means a lot for a team and he’s improving. He had to take more responsibility.”
