Juventus are once again showing strong interest in Sunderland star Granit Xhaka, with the 33-year-old now a priority target ahead of the January window.
According to Tuttosport, the Serie A giants have revived their pursuit after tracking Xhaka’s brilliant form since his shock move to Wearside.
The former Arsenal midfielder has become the heartbeat of Sunderland’s remarkable Premier League campaign, guiding the Black Cats into European contention with his leadership and elite ball-playing ability.
Juve chiefs are said to be huge admirers of Granit Xhaka’s “tactical intelligence” and see him as the perfect experienced figure to steady their midfield as they chase Champions League qualification.
But prising him away won’t be easy. Sunderland consider Xhaka irreplaceable and are not looking to sell mid-season. Any deal would reportedly require at least €15m and assurances they can find a high-calibre replacement.
