The 26-year-old has impressed at Sampdoria in recent seasons and the Bianconeri wants to bring in him as a successor to Alessandro Del Piero.
Del Piero is expected to retire in 2010.
“He is a boy that is fast becoming a man,” Cobolli Gigli told Radio Anch’io lo Sport. “He is a very good player.
“Our director of sport Alessio Secco has spoken about possible acquisitions for next season and Cassano is one of the names we are thinking about.”
