Juventus coach has no plans to resign

Ferrara has come under increasing pressure following their Champions League elimination in midweek, but has been backed by Juventus officials.

“I have never thought to resign and I don’t think this,” said Ferrara.

“The intelligent people and the strong people have to react so we have kept everyone with this kind of behaviour in mind.

“In good and in bad we need to go forward and bear the criticism, returning it to sender.

“I had no doubts the club officials would defend me. I feel their esteem and appreciation for my job.

“I’m a young coach who needs to grow.

“I know there is not time so I must do it quickly.”
