The 35-year-old has been linked with Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls in recent months.
“Dear friends, with regards to the question that many of you have asked me in recent days, yes, it’s true that this summer I will go to America but only on holiday,” Del Piero told his official website.
“Then I will return, that is certain.”
Del Piero’s contract with Juventus is set to expire in June 2011.
