The Daily Mail says Lampard told Chelsea that he wants to sign a new deal following their 4-3 win over Leicester in the Carling Cup.
Lampard scored a hat-trick in the match.
Chelsea manager Avram Grant said: “Frank has told me he wants to stay and the club want him to stay so I’m sure we can find a solution. In the last game he got three assists but he does so many things well.”
