The 28-year-old will miss the trip to Norway as a precautionary measure.
“We are going to have very difficult pitch conditions and will have to train on an artificial pitch,” coach Jupp Heynckes told the official Leverkusen website.
“That is obviously dangerous for his operated knee.”
“I would rather not take any risk with him.”
