Liverpool closing in on Man City star

The England winger has been told he can leave Eastlands for £7million this summer.

Arsenal are also reportedly interested in the winger but are not prepared to pay the England star more than the £65,000-a-week he earns at City, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Wright-Phillips turned down an offer of a £10,000-a-week wage hike at City last season.

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is hopeful he can persuade Wright-Phillips to move to Anfield the same way he did it with Joe Cole earlier this summer.
