Liverpool Echo reports that Rangers manager Walter Smith has admitted defeat in his battle to keep Wilson at the club.
The 18-year-old has only one year left on his contract with the Scottish Premier League champions.
Wilson’s move to Liverpool is expected to be confirmed when the transfer window reopens in June.
