Liverpool defender targets win against Everton

The Reds are in the bottom three of the Premier League ahead of the game.

“The situation is obviously far from ideal, everyone imagined things differently ahead of the season – both our position in the table and our performances,” the Reds centre-back told SITA.

“A lot of things have changed around the club, new players and managers have come in and that’s why some time is necessary before it all settles down. I believe that everything will turn for the good very soon.

“On Sunday we’ve got the Merseyside derby against Everton and I hope we will kick-start ourselves in this game and then will make a run of good results, which would move us up the table to places where we belong.

“It is probably the worst start Liverpool have ever had but I hope the upcoming fixtures will turn things around and the team atmosphere will improve.”
