Benitez is hoping to raise £15million from the sale of the duo, according to The Mirror.
The Spaniard is keen to use the money to sign Hamburg striker Eljero Elia, as he believes the Dutchman can ease the goalscoring burden on Fernando Torres.
Roma and Napoli are both reportedly interested in signing Italian international Dossena in January.
