Spanish newspaper AS reported yesterday that the former Chelsea ace would quit.
“There was a misunderstanding. I never stated I wish to hang up my boots at the end of the current season, or become sporting director. It is not topical. I have just stated it could be conceivable,” he told PSG’s official website.
“Claude Makelele has never told anyone that he is set to bring an end to his career,” read a statement on PSG’s website.
“At the moment, he has not made any decision regarding his future and he remains a PSG player.”
