Malaysia striker to be handed QPR trial

Fernandes is reportedly keen to brin players from his homeland, Malaysia, to trail with Queens Park Rangers.

“Neil Warnock saw tapes of Safee and he was very impressed. We’re hoping to bring him and one other over for a trial after the transfer period closes,” Fernandes told radio station Hitz.fm on Sunday.

“The potential for a Malaysian (player) to be noticed is much bigger now that we are here (in England).”

A potential move for Sali to Queens Park Rangers could be blocked due to work permit issues.

“We have some issues with the ranking (of the national team) and work permit. We’ll deal with it when the time comes,” Fernandes said.
