There have been reports that Cassano has fallen out with coach Walter Mazzarri after the defeat at Atalanta last weekend.
Cassano could be joined by Roberto Mancini at Eastlands. Reports suggest Mancini turned down the City job in the summer, but Gazzetta dello Sport says he could be on his way to the club.
